A new special issue of the Maternal and Child Health Journal, “Taking Home Visiting to Scale: Findings from the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program State-Led Evaluations,” features articles from 11 state MIECHV awardees. The issue was supported by the Design Options for Home Visiting Evaluation project, with oversight by the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) in partnership with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
The articles cover four broad topics:
- Understanding and enhancing home visiting program quality
- Family engagement
- Workforce development
- Impacts of home visiting
Susan Zaid, Mariel Sparr, and Kassie Mae Miller were guest editors for the special issue. Along with Nicole Denmark and Pooja Gupta, OPRE, and Kyle Peplinski and Judy Labiner-Wolfe, HRSA, they also coauthored an introduction to the issue.
