Leah Bouchard, Ph.D.

Leah Bouchard has nearly 10 years of experience as a social worker and researcher. Her work has focused on substance use in marginalized communities, rural health, and the lived experiences of queer and transgender youth. She has expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation, and the use of research as a tool for social justice.

Prior to joining JBA, Bouchard served as an academic researcher and an educator at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She most recently provided research and evaluation services to nonprofits to ensure effective and impactful community-driven work.

Bouchard received a Ph.D. in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
