Evaluation of Efforts to Implement and Spread Comparative Effectiveness Research Findings
Comparative effectiveness research helps clinicians and patients make the best possible decisions about treatment options based on their relative strengths and weaknesses.
This project supported efforts to accelerate the application of the findings of this critical research to strengthen the health care system.
JBA identified effective protocols for disseminating comparative effectiveness research findings. The project featured—
- A formative evaluation with biannual grantee site visits, technical and reporting assistance, and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data
- A summative evaluation measuring grantee outcomes
- A strategy to generate and spread actionable information to key stakeholders
