Longitudinal Evaluation of the Patient Safety and Medical Liability Reform Demonstration Program
This program tested efforts to improve the quality of health care by emphasizing patient safety, improving doctor-patient communication, ensuring fair and timely compensation for injuries, and reducing liability premiums.
JBA conducted a longitudinal evaluation of the program’s planning and demonstration grants, including—
- Describing conditions and context at the outset of the program
- Monitoring progress toward program objectives
- Identifying opportunities for improvement
- Assessing program impact and diffusion of program interventions
