Parents as Teachers Resource Connection Study
Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based home visiting model focused on parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.
The Parents as Teachers National Center is conducting a quasi-experimental study to learn how caregivers participating in the model engage with community services (i.e., resource connections) relative to a comparison group constructed from a national longitudinal study.
JBA collaborates with National Center staff to refine the study’s research questions, review data assumptions, and interpret the findings. Activities include—
- Obtaining and reviewing data
- Developing an evaluation plan, including research questions, measures, and methods
- Conducting propensity score matching and estimating program effect
- Leading regular meetings
- Disseminating findings
