Few opportunities exist to synthesize and share available knowledge, research, and resources about trauma-informed approaches to serving children and families.
This issue brief summarizes information from multiple sources to offer insight into three critical questions:
- How can stakeholders achieve a common understanding of what it means to be “trauma informed”?
- How can stakeholders support a trauma-informed workforce?
- How can stakeholders strengthen measurement and build evidence of impacts?
Analysis focuses on systems-level trauma-informed approaches across service sectors. Promising programs are presented throughout.
