Evaluation of the Little Voices for Healthy Choices Initiative: Final Report
Project: Evaluation of the Little Voices for Healthy Choices InitiativeThis report presents preliminary findings and recommendations from a mixed-methods evaluation of the Little Voices for Healthy Choices initiative.
Little Voices for Healthy Choices was designed to support wellness from birth to age 3 through the Early Head Start and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs. The initiative offers training and resources on nutrition, physical activity, brain development, and sleep. Its goal is to develop healthy lifestyles and routines that enhance children’s physical, cognitive, socioemotional, and motor development and reduce the upward trend in childhood obesity.
The evaluation informed program planners of the strengths and weaknesses of the Little Voices for Healthy Choices content and implementation strategies.
