Measurement Tool Brief, ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE: Information and Guidelines for Use in Meeting Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Benchmark Area Measurement Requirements

The Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV) requires awardees to collect and report on data in six benchmark areas. Benchmark area 3 focuses on improvements in school readiness and child academic achievement.

To measure their progress on related constructs, many awardees proposed using two screening tools designed to identify developmental concerns in infants and young children:

• Ages & Stages Questionnaires—Third Edition (ASQ-3)
• Ages & Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional (ASQ:SE)
