The Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV) allows awardees to spend up to 25 percent of funds to implement and evaluate promising approaches. Awardees that take this option must submit an evaluation plan that meets expectations for rigor.
This webinar was developed to help MIECHV awardees understand the requirements for evaluating promising approaches by—
- Discussing the decision to conduct an effectiveness study of promising home visiting approaches
- Summarizing requirements
- Describing different evaluation designs
- Presenting the process for developing an evaluation plan
- Introducing guidelines for participatory and empowerment research practices
