This article highlights preliminary findings from Rhode Island’s evaluation of its state Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting program.
Rhode Island implemented three evidence-based home visiting models—Nurse-Family Partnership, Healthy Families America, and Parents as Teachers—targeted toward high-risk pregnant women and mothers with young children.
The evaluation examined characteristics of participating children and families, home visitors, implementing agencies, and state-level administration, as well as coordination among participants and systems.
